You can use an email program, for example, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or Apple Mail to send and receive email from your Nutty About Hosting mailboxes.
To do this, you first need to add a new account to your email program. This will vary depending on the program but there will be an 'Add new email account' option.
You can see the mailboxes on your account, and change their passwords, on the Email accounts page of your portal.
For IMAP (Recommended):
- Mail account type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.nah.zone
- Port: 993
- Encryption: SSL/TLS
For POP3 (Not Recommended - POP3 downloads your mail onto one device and takes it off the server, so it will not be waiting for you on your phone or in webmail):
- Mail account type: POP3
- Incoming mail server (POP3): pop3.nah.zone
- Port: 995
- Encryption: SSL/TLS
Outgoing mail is the same whichever of the two you choose:
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.nah.zone
- Port: 587
- Encryption: STARTTLS (some programs call this TLS)
Username and password details will be as follows:
- Username: Your full email address i.e. YourName@YourDomainName
- Password: The password for the email address
Make sure you select the 'outgoing mail server requires authentication' option, and that it is set to use the same username and password as the incoming mail server.
Note: please use the server names above rather than mail.yourdomainname - your own domain name will give certificate warnings.
You can also read your mail in a browser at https://webmail.nah.zone or https://nextmail.nuttyabouthosting.co.uk.
Not been moved across yet?
We are moving mailboxes onto the new platform a domain at a time. If yours has not been moved yet, your email program will still be using imap.nuttyabouthosting.co.uk and smtp.nuttyabouthosting.co.uk. Please leave those as they are for now - they will keep working until we move you, and we will tell you when to change them. If you would like to be moved across sooner, please contact support.
